Nikita

Or was it Nikitha? Never mind the spelling or the name, it was the face that mattered the most. I can still remember the face, the most beautiful face I have ever seen (and this is the most cliched statement too). Incidentally it was my mom's birthday today and not so surprisingly she wanted me to take her to a temple and to my own surprise I said a YES to her request and it was all the more surprising because I gave in to her without a fight. Gawd!! I am still surprised as to how I volunteered to go to a TEMPLE of all the places!!
I happened to visit the Hanuman temple(Bachelor's party eh!!).To be frank I find temple-going a boring act and dread going to these places. But to my fortune I happened to meet a cute girl who made up for my woes.I was standing in the queue, my mom was in front of me and was too deeply involved in her prayers to get disturbed by my actions.I was looking around for something interesting(read as distraction) and my eyes happened to get a glimpse of a charming face, a face so beautiful so attractive....lemme describe this maiden. She was fair, really cute looks, had the most charming smile ...ya truly 100 watt. She had these really small eyes and gave me a feeling that she came to the temple right out of her sleep. And not just me there were quite a few people there whos attention was captured by this babe I must say! There were a few girls there two who felt jealous of her beauty!! I kept looking at her (don't read as ogle) and after sometime she too looked at me, it was just a glimpse. That really made me happy. After receiving the arathi and theertham I again looked at her with a smile on my face this time(man did I look stupid?? No I didn't)
Her dressing sense was good too. She wore a ornate black skirt that rolled upto her knees. Over that she wore a blue and white striped sweater that went along really well with the skirt and her smile ofcourse. And the best part was yet to come, she smiled at me this time.....maan I was flattered by that. But good times don't last long, do they? My puja time was up and I had to leave. With a heavy heart I looked at her (one last time) and sorta waved at her to bid her a farewell and bad luck mate;she wasn't looking at me this time. I began my long walk out of the temple recalling memories of my tryst with beauty.
It was a custom among hindus to sit in the temple for a few minutes after the puja and accordingly I looked for a spot where my mom and me could sit. We found a neat spot and sat down. To my amazement I happened to meet the "cute girl" again. This time she was walking up and down that place and seemed to be really elated for reasons unknown. I decided to make my move,I went up to her with confidence all high that I might get an intro. I went close to her looked into her eyes and said a "Hi" in a low voice, trying to sound sweet. To my surprise, her dad suddenly ran upto her, giving the "cute girl" a shock. Maan he came running to her as though I was going to gobble her up. After that he lifted her and caught her in his arms and with a smile looked at me. I too smiled at the two of them. He looked at her and pointed to me saying "Nikita say hello to anna".

Pakistan shaken..........but not stirred

My friend smsed me saying "If you aren't watching the match now, go find a hard wall and bang your head against it!!!". Fortunately for me I was watching the match and didn't need to do all that.
What a staggering start to the match!!!? Pathan's strike sent shockwaves through the Pakistani camp.

The HATTRICK:

Wicket number 1,Salman Butt got an outside edge off an away going delivery, the ball that stayed low,Dravid took a clean catch at first slip.

Next ball, Pathan gets Younis Khan out plumb in front of the wicket for nought. An in-swinger pitched on off stump.

The final delivery was similar to the previous one, Mohammad Yousuf (previously Yousuf Youhana) played all over it, was beaten by the swing and got castled.

This magnificent spell of bowling will remain in our memories for a long time to come.

However Pakistan has recovered very well from 0-3 to 245 all out, thanks to a magnificent ton by Kamran Akmal. To make matters worse for India, their batsmen failed to capitalise and instead capitulated the inital advantage. The match is poised, however Pakistan is in the drivers seat right now.

Publish your blogs directly form MS Word

No need to login and publish anymore…..use MS-Word and publish a post from Word itself.

I recently found this out from my friend Ram, another blogger. No more cut-n-paste to blogger. This add-on helps you to publish a post directly from the Word editor itself. Download the executable, install it and use it by running MS Word. There is a blogger toolbar. I too am trying this for the first time hope it works.

Some weekend masala guys..........

One evening my friend Prasad gets call from Sandeep saying "I have screwed up a girls life and right now I am standing in front of Mallya Hospital"

Prasad : (shocked)"How??" "Why?" "Who?" "YOU!!!?? ....and when?where?"

Sandeep: (pacifies)"Maan it is has been the best day of my life!!"

Prasad
:(confused)"What are you saying? Tell me clearly what happened?"

A nice beginning to a true story. Let me introduce the characters involved in this story. Prasad is buddy of mine works as a Software Engg in an MNC.

I personally don't know Sandeep, but have heard a lot about him. He is a soft spoken guy who works in a big MNC. He is Tam, comes from an orthodox Iyengar family.

This sounds like a regular regional film story, nevertheless I am continuing with it....

Let me introduce the heroine, Priya, about whom I have just heard of and is supposedly a charming lady with all the super super characteristics one would expect a lady to have.People at her place are really strict, never let her speak to a guy. She is a Brahmin and had lost her dad few years ago. She too works in the same company as Sandeep's. The two of them have been friends for roughly 2 years now.

One day Priya called up Sandy and asked him if they could meet up as she had some important matters to discuss. So they took off pretty early in the morning to some place in the city outskirts and had a long conversation .....

Meanwhile Priya hadn't informed anyone about her short trip and it unfortunately her cousin (a menace) called up her office for some urgent work with her to find out about her absence and summoned for a search force. He informed everyone about her absence and I believe made a big issue of her absence.

Out here Sandy and Priya get engaged in their conversation which went something like:

Sandy: Tell me...
Priya : I have been getting marriage proposals since a year or so and have been rejecting them by giving some excuse.
Sandy:
(confused) Why? What happened?
Priya : I have been dropping several hints and you never get them...
Sandy: Like??(U dumbo)
Priya : I have some feelings for you, I seem to be in love with you....(there she goes)
Sandy: Hmmm......I too have some feelings for you but never showed any signs ......(sigh)

Now they exchange a few senti thoughts and feelings.......then come to back reality........they know that they can live together but there are other issues before that....

Priya : My mother's health is not great and I would want her to live with me after I get married because I think my sister (younger) is not serious about taking care of my mom.
Sandy: My dad is very strict and wont agree with this very easily.........
Priya : What about the age factor.?
Sandy: You are TWO years older than me and my family will not agree with it that easily.....I have absolutely no concerns with it but my family is a big hurdle for me

Priya : It has been the best day of my life.... I wish things will go fine
Sandy: Me too.....
The get back to their office late in the evening. Priya handled her cousins queries by telling them that she was in a confidential meeting with her heads and no one in the company knew about it.
The story ends here.

Later Sandy calls up Prasad when he was caught in a signal in front of Mallya hospital and gives him a jolt. Prasad couldn't believe that all this happened with Sandy . Sandy is such a pessimist that he think he has ruined her life . Prasad had to convince him for hours that this was one of the best things to happen in his life.........

The issue hangs there.........I am now waiting to see how things go further.....

(Prasad is the guy who has to help Sandy, Sandy doesnt have too much dumm he is a paavam guy, Prasad approached me and asked me for suggestions and I felt like sharing it with you guys and get some feedback)

Good Morning..........

This is my first blog and I shall mention the dictionary meaning of my favourite pastime(or I should call SIN).

Procrastination is the deferment or putting-off of an action or task, usually by focusing on some other distraction (compare temporisation). It is Latin for "foremorrowsing", or making some such of tomorrow.

I am still wondering what took me so long to start off with one.I dedicate this to a colleague of mine who inspired (err intimidated) me to start blogging.
There are times in life when you are assigned a certain job or compelled to do some task but you end up procrastinating. At such times you end up putting yourself in several embarassing situations where you would prefer to avoid the people who put you to task.
All through my life I have escaped gulty and unscathed but this time I did not want to crumble with any kind of guilt. I decided that come what may I shall start hitting on my keyboard and compile my first blog and then go home.
I end this blog with a huge sigh of relief.......

Its dinner time.......
